pb port usb !

    Salut ..
    j'ai un pb de transfet sur mes ports usb !

    Mes transferts, que ce soit clef ou disque , sont lents ! tres lent !

    un :
    time cp toto /media/disk/ me rend des temps allucunants !

    idem sous dolphin !

    et vous ?

    j'ai l'impression que le transfert commence a 10/15 Mo/s et arrivé a 100Mo diminue
    vers les 100Ko /s

    J'avoue que j'avais pas grillé ce soucis n'ayant transféré que de petits fichiers
    j'ai pour ainsi dire le même ...

    de DD a USB et jusqu'a 500Mio je crache a plus de 25Mio/s ensuite les transferts chutent pour n'arriver qu'a 5Mio/s sur un transfert de dossier de 1,4Gio , normal que ça chute mais pas a ce point sachant que lors du transfert mon PC venait d'être allumé et ne faisait que ça !

    le peu que j'ai lu c'est que c'est un problème commun a beaucoup de distribs donc un soucis au niveau du noyau , noyau qui chez moi a été mis a jour hier donc n'a pas été patché pour ça !

    Arg ! je vais fouiner ça !

    --edit: testé avec gnome commander c'est vaguement plus rapide mais rien de significatif
    --edit2 : une piste ? je ne trouve aucun module pour l'USB2 de charger dans le noyau bigeek pas de uhci-hcd , pas de ehci-hcd encore moins de ohci-hcd qui lui correspond a un autre chipset

    vi hein !
    Le pense que le demarrage du transfert se fait en ram donc, rapide ..
    Ensuite cela depend de la quantité de cette ram donc on en envoie plus, puis
    ca passe par le swap ! .. et la, c'est la cata !
    moi avec 512 Mo de ram, sur un fichier de 300 Mo , les premiers 150
    fonce, puis le transfert descent a 100ko ... alors sur 1 Go ou 2, c'est la grosse cata !
    Quant a toi, si tu as 2 ou 4 go de ram, il est possible qu'elle engrange 500 Mo et commence a transfere sur le swap a ce moment là, d'ou ta baisse rapide de taux de transfert !
    Essai sur 5 ou 6 Go ... voir jusqu'ou descent ce taux !

    vous avez regardé dans les log voir si vous n'avez pas un message d'erreur ou d'information ?

    dans :
    dmesg (pour les messages durant le boot)
    /var/log/syslog (pour les erreurs générales)
    (vous devez être root !)

    DAns mon var/log... rien de bien visible ....
    la clef est bien trouvée au branchement, les port en USB2 ...

    Mais je vais poster les lignes interessantes
